Red light therapy, also called photobiomodulation, uses red and near-infrared light at low intensity. The light is absorbed by your cells, where it is thought to support energy production and the skin’s own repair processes. It does not heat or damage the skin, and there is no downtime.
Our devices are non-invasive and designed for home use, and published reviews of LED light therapy report a good safety record with mild, temporary redness as the most common effect. Always use the eye protection supplied with your device, never look directly into the LEDs, and follow the session time in the manual. Speak to a doctor first if you are pregnant, take medication that causes light sensitivity such as isotretinoin or certain antibiotics, or are being treated for a skin or eye condition.
Follow the manual that comes with your product, since session length and frequency differ by device. A common pattern is three to five sessions a week. Longer sessions are not better: light therapy works best at low doses, and going past the recommended time reduces the benefit rather than increasing it.
Results vary from person to person and by product, so we do not promise a timeline. Studies on skin generally measure change over four to twelve weeks of regular use, and hair studies usually run longer. Take a before photo in consistent lighting and compare monthly rather than judging day to day.
Red light therapy is generally considered suitable for all skin types and tones, because it does not rely on heat or pigment targeting the way some other treatments do. If you have a skin condition under treatment, check with your dermatologist before adding it to your routine.
Use your device on clean, dry, bare skin so nothing sits between the light and your skin, then apply serums and moisturiser afterwards. Avoid applying strong actives such as retinoids right before a session, especially if your skin is already irritated. Our daily essentials range is chosen to pair with a light therapy routine.
Wipe the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth or an alcohol wipe after each use, and let it dry fully before storing. Never submerge a device in water, and keep it in its case or box away from direct sunlight. Check your manual, as cleaning instructions differ between masks, caps and mats.
For facial skin, most people begin with an LED mask. For thinning hair, look at the hair growth caps. For larger areas or recovery, a mat or panel makes more sense. See the full red light therapy range, or email us and we will help you choose.

Our products are consumer wellness devices, not medical devices, and we do not market them as FDA approved. Some light therapy devices on the market hold FDA clearance, which is a different process that shows a device is substantially equivalent to an existing one and meets safety standards. We describe what our products do without making medical claims.
We focus on devices that are genuinely easy to keep using: clear instructions, sensible session times and honest product descriptions. We would rather explain what a device realistically does than promise results we cannot back up. Read more about us.
